Monthly Events
Our monthly events are currently paused while I focus on re-organizing Career Creatives. Career Creatives (CC) was born on May 13, 2023 as a panel discussion. At the time, the plan was to create a one-time event. The response to the blog posts, the resource site, and live events fills my heart and fuels my drive to ensure we deliver on the potential for this organization. Career Creatives clearly fulfills a need in the creative community. Currently, I need a non-profit fiscal sponsorship, and I am asking for volunteer board and/or partners interested in event coordination. It’s a lot of work to organize as a one-woman show, and CC wouldn’t be where it is without the gracious and generous volunteers that have stepped up thus far.
Events may be on hold, but we are not inactive! Beginning January 2024, we launched our Patreon to assist the annual website costs ($150 needed), podcast equipment ($300 goal), and to fund ongoing future events – including speaker stipend and venue fees. The website, social media, and monthly blog are still active to support the creative community! Join us every Third Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. to discuss business side of art and build your career blueprint.
The 1st hour is dedicated to a presentation, workshop, or discussion on the business skills necessary for your creative career. We'll have special guest speakers and explore a different topic each month! Following the presentation, there will be open discussion where you can ask questions, suggest your own topics, and learn about the challenges & opportunities that fellow creatives are experiencing. This is a terrific place to meet your peers, discuss and develop your business!
Tickets are $10 online or at the door, which enable us to offer light refreshments and materials. Donations to cover the cost of professional guest speakers are encouraged.
